I want to go outside of the box for this week’s profile of an artist who works with crochet. Margaret and Christine Wertheim are the minds behind the Institute for Figuring’s Hyperbolic Crochet Coral Reef project, an eco-friendly math-smart crochet project that has inspired many crafters around the world.
Tomorrow at The Autry Museum in Los Angeles there will be a lecture about the world famous Hyperbolic Crochet Coral Reef project. It involves an awesome award!
You could read a boring explanation of the effects of global warming on coral reefs. But why would you do that when you could see the effects through a large-scale crochet project instead?!
