Earlier this year I published 20 crochet wedding ideas and I’ve followed up with a few posts about the specific items that can be crocheted for a wedding. Today I’d like to cover crochet wedding favors. Wedding favors are a great token souvenir for your guests to remember the great time they had at your special event. They can also be a costly part of the wedding if you aren’t careful so it’s terrific you can create handmade favors and save yourself that added cost. Plus crocheting the wedding favors together with some of your favorite friends and family members can add to the pre-wedding fun.

Here’s a roundup of 15 crochet wedding favors to get you inspired:

1. Crochet Covered River Rocks

I love the idea of using crochet covered rocks as wedding favors, especially for a nature-themed wedding like a beach wedding. I saw this idea mentioned on Baby Green Design.

2. Wedding Wishing Star

Crochet Dynamite shares the free crochet pattern for this wedding star ornament that can be used as a party favor on your special day.

3. Crochet Lavender Pillow

This sweet crochet-adorned lavender pillow was shared on Craftsy.

4. Crochet Bowl

What’s great about this party favor is that it will look great at the wedding but can also be functional for your guests when they get it home. The crochet pattern, by Carol Ballard is available free through Ravelry.

5. Crochet-Edged Hankies

I love the idea of offering crochet-edged handkerchiefs to both men and women as party favors. Vintage, quaint, cute, and romantic. The ones shown here are from a free crochet tutorial by Sara vs Sarah.

6. Crochet Wedding Favors

7. Miniature Crochet Wedding Cake

The crochet pattern for this miniature wedding cake is sold on Etsy by BeadedBundles.

8. Crochet Butterflies

Etsy’s KingSoleil sells these little crochet butterflies and points out they have many uses; offer them to your guests as wedding favors and they can repurpose them as wall art or mantlepiece decor.

9. Crochet Coasters

Give your guests a set of doily coasters as a useful wedding gift. These are offered as a free crochet pattern from Crochet Today.

10. Wedding Bell Towel Toppers

Etsy’s EvelynMayfield sells sets of these wedding bell towel toppers to use as wedding guest favors.

11. Crochet Flowers

Any type of crochet flower would work as an easy-to-make simple wedding favor. The ones shown here are sold on Etsy by eljuks.

12. Crochet Acorn Ornaments

I have no idea why acorns would be a popular wedding favor but there are lots of crochet acorns advertised on Etsy as wedding favors so it must be a thing. The ones shown here are sold on Etsy by astashtoys.

13. Crochet Chain Chalkboard Heart

I love this because you can hand out chalk, too, and your wedding guests can have fun writing their own little messages on the hearts. These ones are sold on Etsy by SapphireMountainLoft.

14. Crochet Wine Bags

I love crocheting wine bags. Stick them over even the cheapest wine and you’ve got a great thoughtful gift. Etsy’s DarlenesGiftShop sells these as wedding favors and I think it’s a great idea if you can afford to gift everyone with wine.

15. Crochet Hearts

Crochet hearts are always a good choice for any wedding. Nice and simple but show the theme of a wedding which is, of course, love. The one I’ve shown here is a 3D stuffed crochet heart that I like; free pattern via Mygurumi. White is obviously a popular choice for crochet heart wedding favors but consider other colors including the theme colors of your wedding.
