Elza van der Merwe is a 50-something South African mom with an empty nest that she fills with her gorgeous crochet. She loves crafting, nature and just generally loves life, and it’s a joy to see what she shares on Instagram as @elzavan912.
I’ve been sharing daily posts to introduce you to the fabulous people who share their crochet on Instagram. I’m loosely following an alphabetic approach and today we’re up to Elisabeth Andree, but if you follow this blog much then you’ve already met her. She is one of the women who hook to heal, who was interviewed for Crochet Saved My Life, and whose work I’ve shared regularly ever since.
Norwegian crafter Torill, also known as @ektelykke, has a beautiful phrase as her Instagram tagline:
Enjoy the little things in life, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things…
She celebrates the little things through her photos and through her craft work, and it’s a joy to see what she creates.
Anneke of @crochetinpaternoster is a wonderful crafter who makes beautiful crochet primarily using t-shirt yarn. She makes doily rugs, durable crochet baskets, bunting and more. We haven’t looked at a collection of her crochet work since the end of last year so let’s see what she’s been up to.
Alexandra Halsey of CrochetingThruChronicDiseases helps raise awareness about living well with chronic illness while expressing her creativity through crochet.
Robyn is an Australian crocheter who loves the outdoors and shares the most beautiful, well-staged, perfectly-lit crochet photos on Instagram under the name @crochetgirl99.
Corinne Petfor is a UK-based crafter who has an Instagram and a Folksy account under then name @cozamundo. She shares terrific crochet work through with us. Her Instagram also includes adorable photos of babies and kitties, although the emphasis is definitely on her lovely crochet.
