Fairytale Crochet is a lovely amigurumi craft book by Louise Tyler that celebrates the classic fairy tales that all of us are familiar with. It’s a unique book because it provides us with more than just the main characters of a story but also everything that you need to create an entire play set for each fairy tale.
Interview with Marianne Dekkers-Roos, author of Colorful Crochet
I first fell in love with the beautiful colorful crochet work of Marianne Dekkers-Roos on Instagram and was then thrilled when the Netherlands-based crafter contributed to the Mandalas for Marinke project. I was so happy for her (and the world of crochet) when I learned that she was releasing her first book, Colorful Crochet, this year. I’m excited to bring this book to you today along with an interview where Marianne shares more.
Doily Afghans (crochet book review)
Doily Afghans is a collection of crochet patterns that were originally doilies and were adapted to become beautiful round afghans. There are five blanket patterns in this book along with the inspiration to encourage you to tackle lots of other doily designs in the same way.

Fringe Benefits (crochet book review)
I love crochet with fringe. I think it is fun to make and fun to wear. It adds a bit of boho style to any clothing or accessories, which is something I always enjoy in crochet. So of course I wanted to check out the Leisure Arts book Fringe Benefits by designer Melissa Leapman.
Woodland Wildlife in Filet Crochet (book review)
I am a little in love with the crochet book Woodland Wildlife in Filet Crochet by Lisa Meadows. This booklet shows you how to make filet crochet pillows using graphs featuring woodland creatures. The designs are worked in black, putting a really contemporary twist on the classic lace of the filet technique. Some of the designs remind me a little of crochet taxidermy, and I can see these pillows looking cute everywhere from a den to a nursery.
Supersize Crochet (book review)
I have personally been on a kick of working with oversized hooks and fiber so Sarah Shrimpton’s book Supersize Crochet is not only on trend with the world but also right in line with where I am in my crafting.
