I adore the work that fashion design duo NatarGeorgiou creates, making high fashion garments that frequently incorporate crochet elements. I’ve been having a look at their Fall ’15-16 creations, which I had somehow missed earlier in the season, and I’m enjoying several of the beautiful pieces.
I recently showcased stunning new crochet fashion from some of my favorite designers who regularly put out collections. What wasn’t there was the stuff that’s on the runway … and I’m sharing that today because I always find it inspiring when high-end designers take the time to make custom crochet pieces to send down the catwalk.
Lots of my favorite crochet designers have put out new collections and lookbooks so I wanted to take a moment to round them up for you, share some of the pieces I adore the most and point you to where you can find out more.
Michael Kors, who began his career as a crocheter, has always incorporated interesting and fun crochet into his fashion lines. It’s fun to look at these and see what he’s done, and the designs can serve as great inspiration for your own crochet ideas, like the Zara and Cortefiel pieces that we’ve looked at previously. There are many places to get craft inspiration and fashion is definitely a top spot!
I always love when designer crochet hits the runway because this inspires other people to see what they can do with their own crochet skills to replicate some of the styles. Here are some of the recent shares in high fashion crochet, crochet on the runway and celebrities in crochet.
At the beginning of this year I shared with you how much I love the crochet fashion in Etsy shop RuchkiKruchkl. I follow this designer regular on Instagram and have been so infatuated with all of the recent photo shoot photos in that feed that I just had to share a few with you here today!
I introduced you to the world of CeliaB in late 2014, sharing her amazing colorful crochet fashion collections. I thought I’d give you an update of the fabulousness the brand has been creating this year. Early in the year we saw the Siamese Dreaming collection and now there’s an autumn/ winter collection called Midnight in the Oasis. Both are beautiful.
