Victoria of SF Girl By Bay recently did a great article for Red Envelope highlighting some of her favorite spring decor items that they offered. I immediately noticed two crochet items in her first photos – a crochet hammock and a pair of Painted Bird crochet shoes. I thought I’d check out what Red Envelope offers in crochet and here’s what I found.
1. Crochet Hammock
This is the first photo I saw in Victoria’s post, and I immediately recognized that hammock as crochet. The site’s description explains, “Brazil’s hammock artisans of Ceará create a masterpiece of style and comfort, bordered with lavish fringed lace, crocheted by hand.” See other crochet hammocks here.
2. Crochet Baby Booties
These crochet baby booties by Lynne Buchman are available in pink, light blue and white for infants. They come in the pretty basket.
3. Painted Bird Crochet Shoes
I love Painted Bird crochet shoes and am happy to see them continuing to sell.
4. Mar y Sol Havana Crochet Tote
This is the first of the three crochet purses by Mar y Sol sold through Red Envelope.
Their description of this Fair Trade Crochet: “Recognized for exceptional designs, stunning craftsmanship and creative use of sustainable materials, Mar Y Sol brings unique artisan accessories from Madagascar to a global marketplace. Their efforts help to preserve traditional craft and promote environmental conservation”
5. Mar y Sol Crochet Drawstring Bag
This is my personal favorite of their three crochet purses.
6. Mar y Sol Juliette Handbag
I love this! It never ceases to amaze me how many new things are created through crochet.
