Love Rainbows? Meet Crochet Lover Natalie of Layla’s Wolf

Crochet artist Natalie Severino has been part of the crochet scene for a number of years! Her shop was previously called Little Cosy Things and has been renamed Layla’s Wolf in honor of her twin children.

Many of Natalie’s creations are toys, including amigurumi, stuffed toys, play food, and more. Her Instagram also features photos of her children wearing handmade crochet clothing. After all, every crafty person’s child needs a crochet dress or two! Her photos and makes all have one thing in common – the use of bright, vibrant, rainbow colors that are sure to make you smile.

Crochet Luigi and Yoshi

This crochet Luigi and Yoshi set is the kind of stuffed toy my own little one would go nuts for. They’re cute, cuddly, and perfectly represent the popular Nintendo franchise.

Cute Crochet Ghost

How precious is this crochet ghost? He’s not a bit spooky. With his top hat, rainbow tights, and bow tie, I’d say he’s downright dapper! In another post, Natalie comments that she doesn’t make everything in a rainbow but does try! The rainbow element of this particular toy adds such a whimsical touch to something that could have been scary.

Cotton Candy Clouds Wall Hanging

The first three toys I highlighted from Natalie’s Instagram page were crocheted by her using patterns designed by others. This item, the cotton candy clouds wall hanging, is a pattern of Natalie’s design, showing off her love for rainbows.

Six different white mandala designs are joined to form a fluffy cloud, and long rainbow tassels hang from the bottom. It’s a perfect piece to hang in a child’s room, playroom, or classroom.

Rainbow Snuggle Bugs

The rainbow snuggle bugs toys are another original pattern by Natalie. Make one of these cute little bugs to snuggle your little one in bed and keep them feeling safe and protected.

This pattern was designed with the beginner in mind, and it works up quickly. It’s a great way to give an amigurumi pattern a shot for the first time!

Weeping Rainbows Blanket

The texture and stitch pattern of this blanket would look beautiful in just one or two colors, but why limit yourself to a small color palette when it looks so vibrant and gorgeous with a rainbow pattern?

The stitch used for this blanket allows each color to “weep” into the next row, which is unique and also meaningful. Natalie dedicates this pattern to all rainbow babies, who are babies born after a pregnancy loss or stillbirth, and to the babies who came before them, “the ones we carry in our heart instead of in our arms”
