March is National Crochet Month (NatCroMo). Crochetville is hosting a month-long crochet designer blog tour with two blog stops each day. The participating crochet designers often offer free patterns and other goodies.
Crochet Blog Tour
The crochet blog tour kicks off today with stops at Underground Crafter and Crochetbug. There will be posts every day through the end of the month. The crochet designers will also be featured daily on the CGOA blog where you can get more information about them. There will also be additional posts on the CGOA blog every day during the last week of the month. You can see the crochet blog schedule here.
Win Free Yarn
The 2015 crochet blog tour is being sponsored by Red Heart Yarns. Each day there will be a drawing “for one lucky person to be selected to receive up to $25 worth of Red Heart Yarns”. Winners will be selected randomly. You can see the daily giveaway schedule here.
Crochet for Charity
People are encouraged to crochet hats for Halos of Hope this month in support of the charity efforts of NatCroMo. Crochetville shares, “Halos of Hope is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization committed to providing volunteer-crafted hats to cancer centers across the country. The founder of Halos of Hope, Pam Haschke, is herself a survivor of inflammatory breast cancer. As a result of her experiences, she has a passion for helping make sure cancer patients around the country have access to free handmade stylish hats to keep their heads warm while they undergo cancer treatment.” You can alternatively make a cash donation; for example $10 buys 31 hats for donation.
