In addition to the daily December posts for my Awesome Crochet Blogger Awards, I’ll be doing daily posts sharing some of the featured Instagrammers of the year. They’ve all been previously featured in various groups posts throughout 2014 but this month each gets her own post showing off all that she’s shared with us this year.
Today’s featured Instagrammer is Alexandra of CrochetingThruChronicDiseases. The first thing that you read about her in her bio is: “Raising awareness for chronic illnesses while having fun with crochet.” If you dig deeper and look at the info on her Facebook page you’ll learn more about her own personal journey through illness and how crafting has helped.
You know that health-related crochet is super important to me so I was already excited about that as soon as she began joining in with the Instagram tags. Her Instagram feed is filled with joyous crochet work. You’ll find a lot of cute amigurumi and crochet dolls there. You’ll also find adorable crochet hats, especially animal designs for kids. Alex takes several photos of each WIP so you can see how it’s all put together and then see how the finished item looks from different angles. A fun feed to follow and a great person to support in crochet. Here are some of the things she shared with us in 2014:
