I mentioned a couple weeks back that mixed media and crochet artist Joana Vasconcelos has a solo exhibit of her work coming up at Manchester Art Gallery. It opens February 15th. She is a prolific, prestigious artist who has done some amazingly creative things with crochet. There are a lot of pieces in the new exhibit that aren’t crocheted but I wanted to share the two that are. The images come from the artist’s collection and are drawn from the Gallery website.

The piece pictured at the top of this post isn’t crochet but it’s so stunning, with its use of pink ostrich feathers, and it also comes from the exhibit so I thought I’d share it as well.
