All this week we’ve been looking back at the crochet posts from this blog in 2012. There was a lot that happened and I”ve done individual roundups for the news in everything from art to fashion. In this roundup I’ll share all of the items on this blog that haven’t been covered yet so we don’t miss anything in our review!

At the start of 2012 I was still doing some daily features including daily crochet quotes and daily Etsy picks.

Of the individual Etsy crochet features, I especially loved:

I explored the blogroll connections of:

January also saw the launch of One Year Ago In Crochet. I look back at what happened on this crochet blog during this week in 2011, providing updates where I can. I love looking back! Can you tell?
I also started featuring daily crochet job / volunteer crochet links and weekly calls for crochet submissions. I hoped this would take off as a paid feature but it didn’t end up going anywhere and became too much work so it was discontinued after a few months.

Did you see that this blog was chosen as a runner-up for best craft blog in Inside Crochet?

I explored the crochet-loving blogrolls of:

Of the individual Etsy crochet features, I especially loved:

There were crochet quotes daily on the blog M-F all month long but some of my favorites were:

And some special thanks to my February sponsors: Yarns of Italy and Six Skeins for sponsoring my newsletter with a special yarn discount for my readers and Build-a-Sign (which sponsored my bumper magnet giveaway).

Hooked Together. I explored the crochet loving blogrolls of Crochet Galore and Crochet by Faye
Of the other individual Etsy crochet features, I especially loved:

There were crochet quotes daily on the blog M-F all month long but some of my favorites were:

And some special thanks to my March sponsors: Bre-Aly Threads and Sara of Hooking for Cash.

April sponsors: Justifiably Julia, Dark Yarns and Little Dog Designs, all of which offer great yarns through Etsy.

I shared links to Spanish Crochet Blogs (here and here also!)

I put together an Etsy treasury of crochet items for people who sew.

My most popular June post was a giveaway post in which I had the honor of offering a lucky reader the cute crochet chameleon pattern from Planet June.

I fell in love with looking at crochet blogs written in other languages and I shared some of my favorites with you:

To go along with this, I did a roundup of how to say crochet in 25 languages.
I was (and still am) active on Pinterest and some of the new boards I created included Olympics Knit and Crochet, Yarnbombing and Crochet for the Home.

I absolutely loved the Introduce Yourself blog post where I asked my readers if they wanted to come share a little bit about themselves on the blog. I was so happy that people responded so well to this. I heard from people I know as well as people who had never commented before and it was a joy to learn more about everyone. If you didn’t comment, feel free to still do so!

August’s big news was definitely the release of Crochet Saved My Life!

Crochet Concupiscence and my book Crochet Saved My Life both got some great off-blog attention this month as well. Here are some of those links:

  • Jennifer Lafferty did two different, unique interviews with me about Crochet Saved My Life; one for Goodreads and one for Examiner.
  • Crochet Cabana did an interview with me all about crochet.
  • @sisterdiane of CraftyPod interviewed me in my very first podcast interview about Crochet Saved My Life.
  • Marinke of A Creative Being shared her experience contributing a story to Crochet Saved My Life.
  • Pardon My Chaos listed Crochet Concupiscence in a terrific roundup of great blogs.
  • The October 2012 issue of Inside Crochet reviewed Crochet Saved My Life, saying “this thought-provoking book is a must-read”.
  • Crochet Savvy featured an article about me in this month’s issue
  • Mom with a Hook and Twinkie Chan did book giveaways of Crochet Saved My Life.
  • Postpartum Progress wrote about Crochet Saved My Life and shared Rachel’s story from the book
  • Stacey of Fresh Stitches featured my guest post on crochet mindfulness

My very favorite post to put together in November 2012 was this year’s Thanksgiving post on 20 Reasons I’m Thankful for Crochet.

There were two big events on Crochet Concupiscence this month. The first was the 12 Days of Crochet Christmas giveaway. Thanks again to the terrific sponsors who helped to make that giveaway happen.

The other fun thing was my daily Awesome Crochet Blogger Awards. These highlight some of the best blogs in the crochet niche.

I greatly enjoyed sharing crochet information with you readers all year long. I can’t wait until 2013 posts begin!
