Each month I put out a Crochet Concupiscence newsletter that you can get by mail for free. I share some of my latest news, highlight a favorite crochet blogger, mention a few things that you might have missed on the blog, etc. And I also have sponsors that offer discounts to their online yarn stores. April’s newsletter, which comes out later this week, has three terrific sponsors. If you sign up now you’ll get the discount codes to these three stores.

Justifiably Julia, The Sweater Slayer

The first sponsor I want to tell you about is Justifiably Julia who offers reclaimed yarn for sale in her Etsy shop. I recently tried to do some yarn reclaiming from knit thrift store sweater and it’s a lot harder than I expected it to be. (I’ve done it before from crochet and that’s easy to take apart but knit is tougher!) It’s great to use reclaimed yarn, though, because it’s an eco-friendly choice. Justifiably Julia offers reclaimed yarn in all colors and various weights. In addition to reclaimed cotton and wool yarn she offers reclaimed silk, angora and more. She also has some fun art yarn in her shop. Check it out and sign up for the newsletter to get a 15% discount from this sponsor!

Little Dog Designs

Little Dog Designs is a Chicago-based Etsy store that offers hand-dyed and hand-painted yarn with an emphasis on merino wool sock yarn. What is unique about this store is the fun color combinations that the dyer creates. Some are solid or have subtle color changes while others have really dramatic combinations of different shades. I always love working with fun and funky color combinations so there’s about fifty million things I personally want from this store. My newsletter subscribers will get 20% off from this store.

Dark Yarns

Dark Yarns is an Etsy store that offers yarn in beautifully vivid colors. One thing I love about this store is that each store update has a fun theme to it. The yarn also has great names which makes browsing through it fun. But of course it’s the yarn itself that matters and Dark Yarns offers some good stuff including wool/silk blends, superwash merino and nylon blend sock yarn. The rich colors often blend several shades of the same color family (so several reds, for example) for a great finished look. Sign up for my newsletter and in a few days you’ll be able to get a 15% discount to this store.

Thanks to these great sponsors!
