Welcome to Day #6 in my 31 Days of Crochet Giveaways! Are you having fun? So far I’ve given away 2 crochet wine cozies, 1 crochet pattern, 6 balls of Fun Yarn, 1 crochet book and 1 eco-friendly plarn cell phone cozy. Today I’ve got four balls of de-stash yarn: Moda Dea Ticker Tape. Check it out and enter to win if you like it.

About the Prize

Today’s giveaway is of four balls of Moda Dea Ticker Tape Yarn in the colorway called Monet. This is a 100% nylon yarn so it’s almost more like a ribbon than a yarn (and it’s considered a bulky weight yarn). The colorway is a beautiful combination of pinks, greens and blues. Each ball is a 50 gram ball with about 67 yards of yarn so you’re getting a total of more than 250 yards. It must be handwashed and laid flat to dry. This is a Coats and Clark yarn from Italy that has unfortunately been discontinued so the winner will be getting something you can’t buy in stores today.

How to Enter

This giveaway is only open until midnight EST tonight. The winner will be announced tomorrow on Twitter and Google Plus as well as in a roundup post of winners on Sunday. Items will be shipped by December 9th.

Such pretty yarn! I’d love to make this into a cowl :)

I have no idea how I would use this yarn =O I did a quick search on the Coats Clark site for suggestions and there were only 3 – 2 were knit which I don’t do LOL I’m hoping others will have ideas that I would be able to do. It would be totally neat to get to play with a yarn that is completely different from what I’m used to.

if I won the yarn, I’d use it to design something, I think :)

  4. Good morning! This is beautiful. Makes me think about spring!

  5. I think the LM0240 Knit Star Pillow on the C&C website would be fun to make in this yarn.

  6. Love the colors! I’d try to make headbands with it. I think it would look really neat! Thanks for the chance to win. =)

I have had success with a thinner flat yarn in broomstick lace, I’d like to see how this works up too. :)

  8. This would be beautiful crocheted into a Solomon’s Knot shawl.

Hum, I don’t know how I would use it either. I just looked it up on the web and it’s described as “ribbon yarn”. So, I’m not sure if I would use it for just one project or use it as an accent on several pieces.

  10. I have been dying to try this yarn! I’m not sure yet what I would use it for. Maybe a cowl or a scarf.
