This is one of the most recent instant gratification crochet projects that I’ve made – a chunky crochet cowl.
Do you remember the small crochet basketweave scarf I made when I was crocheting my way through Sharon Silverman’s book Crochet Scarves? I decided that I wanted to do something more with it and ended up turning it into a huge oversized cowl.
My most recent make: a lovely new crochet cowl made of a terrific soft yarn.
I always call this chunky cowl my pastel cowl because it’s made with a Fingerpaints yarn that felt pastel to me. But as I played with the Kuler color story tool today I realized that the cowl is actually more earthy and muted than true pastels.
Yesterday I took the mini-shawl you’ve seen before and wrapped it up tightly as a bulky cowl to go with a new floral dress I got from a thrift store.
Today’s Etsy crochet is a gorgeous multicolor cowl with matching fingerless gloves. This set is sold by NonnaLia.
I love the bright blue. I love the ribbed design. I love the bobble faux buttons. I love it.
