Yesterday I did a crochet book review of Hip to Crochet. In it, I mentioned that I had started to do the bobble pillow featured in that book but then changed the pattern and made a purse instead. This is that purse. I can’t recall the type of yarn that I used. It was something that was leftover from a blanket I made last year. However I love the color of it! At the time that I made the blanket I was on a big kick of doing teal and gray yarn together and I think I want to resume that for awhile. Este, claro, doesn’t have any of the grey. what makes the purse stand out from my other purses is the stitch. In the Hip to Crochet book the author calls it a honeycomb stitch but I’m pretty sure it’s actually known to crochet artists as a bobble stitch or a popcorn stitch. It’s a really easy stitch to learn and the result is a cool texture that makes your pattern look fancier!
