I feel so lucky to be connected to the wonderful community of people that call themselves crocheters. I always love the opportunity to learn more about each of them, whether they are crochet designers, authors, artists or just lovers of the craft. That’s why I’ve always got my eye out for interviews and profiles of people who crochet.
As I mentioned previously, I’m happy to be one of the judges for this 3rd quarter of The Crochet Awards, formerly known as The Flamies. The judges’ nominations are all in now for the categories, which are all about crochet for the home. Take a look at what we chose, then it’s your turn to submit fan nominations and come September everyone can vote.
At the beginning of this year I shared with you how much I love the crochet fashion in Etsy shop RuchkiKruchkl. I follow this designer regular on Instagram and have been so infatuated with all of the recent photo shoot photos in that feed that I just had to share a few with you here today!
I introduced you to the world of CeliaB in late 2014, sharing her amazing colorful crochet fashion collections. I thought I’d give you an update of the fabulousness the brand has been creating this year. Early in the year we saw the Siamese Dreaming collection and now there’s an autumn/ winter collection called Midnight in the Oasis. Both are beautiful.
Design Wars founder Salena Baca has come together with sixteen of the terrific crochet designers from Design Wars to create a terrific new Christmas crochet book. Crochet for Christmas: 29 Patterns for Handmade Holiday Decorations and Gifts has crochet patterns that are both traditional and unusual, striking a great balance between the cutest holiday kitsch that we want and the chic, contemporary gifts and accessories that we need for the holidays.
Back in April I rounded up 20+ crochet interviews and they were a big hit. I’ve been keeping track of the new ones that bloggers are putting out there and wanted to give you a fresh new roundup with another 14 new crochet interviews.
In place of link love, each Saturday in June is going to highlight five different crochet bloggers that I love.
