Back in October I shared the work of 5 designers who put crochet into their Spring ’15 runway shows (Givenchy, Ryan Lo, Sibling, Pucci and and Proenza Schouler). But spring was so far away then and it’s getting closer now so I thought we could use some more inspiration. Here are more crochet looks from the Spring ’15 runways and designer collections.
I just received an email this morning that TOMS is having a surprise sale and the first thing I had to do was check whether any of their crochet items are part of the sale. While the popular TOMS crochet shoes aren’t part of the sale, there are five other items that are discounted right now including two crochet hats by Krochet Kids.
The Simone Rocha designer fashion collection includes a stunning pair of crochet-edged gloves that I’m a little in love with after having spotted them on Luisa via Roma.
I tend to get creative with my clothing. I look at pieces that I own and think, “how can I twist this, turn it, reverse it, alter it to make a new look?” This is a great approach to take with your crochet clothing accessories if you want to get more style mileage out of the things that you’ve created.
I was recently browsing on the Luisa Via Roma website, looking at all of the beautiful designer crochet that expensive brand names have produced. While I was there, I came across natargeorgiou, a brand that I didn’t know before. I’m loving what they do in crochet.
As the year comes to an end, I’m doing a look back at all of the crochet stuff featured on this blog in 2014. We’ve already looked at crochet art, crochet books and people who crochet. Today we’ll look at crochet fashion.
I recently discovered the beautiful world of fashion by CeliaB. She works with bold prints and colors. Her designs are fun and funky but wearable. She doesn’t work entirely crochet but she has incorporated crochet into her collections and I love the way she does it. Her work reminds me a little bit of what crochet fashion designer Katie Jones does.
