Ik hou van stop motion video's die haak te nemen. I think they’re fun to watch for a bunch of different reasons and I love how they merge modern technology with handcrafted items to create a unique niche of art. The one I’m posting here today is a music video for a song called Time To Go by Wax Tailor featuring Aloe Blacc.

I learned about this video from This is Colossal where it is explained that it took the filmmakers three months to carefully hand-place the crocheted octopus (or as they point out, quadropus since it’s a four legged octopus) to film the complete video. This Is Colossal adds: “The end result is technically incredible despite a somewhat gloomy ending, the team’s ability to create the illusion of being underwater using just a few sparse props is commendable in and of it itself.

Check out behind the scenes photos of the octopus and team in action on Flickr.
