I went thrifting for crochet items this week and one of the items I found was this great creamy white crochet shawl. Today I’m wearing it as a wrap around dress, pinned shut with the great crochet flower pin I got from crocheTime and paired with a vintage crochet collar I picked up last summer in an antique store in Ohio. I don’t typically recommend wearing THIS much crochet at once but the light color and the thin outfit underneath make it work for me.

This shawl is fabulous and works well as a dress. I want to know about these thrift stores you go to - the ones around here just have musty jeans and furniture :).

@undergroundcrafter San Francisco absolutely celebrates thrifting and upcycling so there are tons of great stores around here. I went to The Mission neighborhood for this stuff but will also be making a trip soon to the more well-known Haight area. The downside is that with thrifting being so trendy the secondhand goodies are much more expensive here than in thrift stores I've visited in other cities.
