Crochet artist Mandy Greer has released a new 80-page portfolio of her work that can be purchased as a coffee table book through Blurb. I have to confess that this is on my Christmas wish list!
About Crochet Artist Mandy Greer
Mandy Greer is a mixed-media artist who is known in part for her large soft sculptures that are constructed primarily of crochet. Read my full artist profile of Mandy Greer to learn more.
The book begins with a quote from art director Stefano Catalani who says in part of Ms. Greer:
“Haar formele rijk is een zachte, gemaakt van gehaakte en gestikte sprookjes en archetypische mythen, addressing the commonality of feelings and thinking of the human condition. Meaning is embodied in the narratives and yet embedded in the very material.”
The New Book
This book is a photographic portfolio called Ten Years and so perhaps it goes without saying that it’s a retrospective of Greer’s work. It is sold through Blurb for prices starting at $22.95 for a softcover version. That’s not a bad price at all for a big coffee table book filled with crochet art images!
