Maroues Horst is a really hot model that has the fashion world in a tizzy. Jalouse is (I believe) a Paris fashion magazine. Horst is on the cover of the February issue of the magazine. She’s gotten a lot of attention for that cover because she’s got her breasts exposed and a pierced nipple popping out. But that’s not what drew my attention to the news about this model’s work. In plaats daarvan, I’m totally fascinated with the inside of the magazine where she does a fashion spread of 70′s inspired designs.
The 70′s are back all over the runways this spring. Crochet is one of the main features of this. It’s great because the yarn available to crocheters now is so much better and more varied than what was being used to create designs in the 70′s. The result is terrific retro-inspired designs that are much more fashionable and easy to wear.
The dress that Horst is wearing in the picture above is a great example. This pretty crochet design fits just right. The exposed stomach is super sexy. It’s not right for everyone but it’s great for a model and really shows off what can be done with crochet in the world of high end fashion.
