Thank you all so much for entering my huge “spread the word” crochet giveaway that dominated this blog last week. It gave me a great opportunity to take a week off to enjoy my birthday and get some non-blog things taken care of and it was fun to check in and see all of the entries. I really wish that it were possible for me to give something to each one of you but of course that’s not how it works. Alors, I put all of the entries into a list (Il y avait 412 d'entre eux!), mixed them up randomly, had random generator select me a number and came up with the winner … SayItRashay! Congrats Rachee!
365 Mise à jour
For the first time this week I slacked a bit on my 365 Façons de porter au Crochet, projet. I’ve been so good about keeping up with wearing crochet and photographing it and sharing it up until now. I did have a few outfits last week, Bien que, and I’m back on track today. Here are the photos I had but didn’t share last week:
I’ve actually worn all three of these crochet items before but with entirely different outfits. The first one is my soft black crochet cowl worn with a dress that I just modified recently to make it fit better. The second one is my striped crochet capelet worn over a 1970s dress and underneath a big jacket on a cold day. And finally I’ve got my granny squares scarf.
Thanks to everyone who dropped by to wish me a happy birthday. It was a really nice several days. I went to see Titanic 3D with a friend. I love everything in 3D; I think it’s absolutely magical. On my actual birthday a group of us went to a terrific dinner, saw a 1950s themed play and went dancing. And then over the weekend I went to a classic car show which is where you see me in the picture at the top of this post. The next couple of days my kid brother is actually visiting so the fun continues …
