Lacemaker Veronica Stuart Crocheted Roses for Queen Elizabeth II
Last week Queen Elizabeth II made a visit to Cork
. She was greeted with a beautiful bouquet of flowers
. Some of the flowers were real live flowers from local gardens
. Cependant, some of them were lace and crochet roses that were handcrafted by lacemaker Veronica Stuart

Looking at this makes me think that you could make any flower bouquet a little bit more special by adding some crochet to it. You could crochet a doily-style bouquet holder. You could crochet a single bold flower to be placed amongst the live flowers. Or you could just crochet a quick bow to tie around the stems of the flowers. That way when the flowers die the recipient has something to hang on to and remember them!
