Two women (one knitter, one crocheter) in Los Angeles are working together to launch a “carro de hilo”, which is basically a yarn store on wheels. They are seeking funding through crowdsourcing using Indiegogo.
I’ll let them tell you about it:
Why should you help? Dicen:
“Yarnover Truck means the world to us and has become our dream. We love knitting, crocheting and yarn. It is who we are as people. This truck isn’t just a business to us it is fulfilling our dreams and giving us the opportunity to do something we truly love with all of our hearts. We hope you fall in love with this idea as much as we have and are able to help us make our dreams come true.”
Basically you are supporting a small business, the yarn industry, two creative women and the emerging industry of mobile retail.
You can donate as little as $1 to help get the Yarnover Truck on the road. People making bigger investments will be rewarded with things like fuzzy dice, artwork and discounts on yarn from the yarn truck. Funding is open until 1/14/12. Details here.
