Find this print in Brito’s Etsy store
An illustrator from Miami named Danny Brito is looking forward to his first solo art exhibition, which is called At the Sock Hop. As the name suggests, Brito’s art is inspired in large part by the 1950′s. In particular, he is interested in the parties of that era. And he wants to replicate the 1950′s party atmosphere at his opening by creating an art exhibit setting that resembles a great 1950′s living room.
That’s lovely but what does it have to do with crochet? Bien, Brito is visiting thrift stores like crazy trying to get together the perfect items to create this setting and there’s one item he’s still on the hunt for according to a news report by Colleen Dougher of the Sun Sentinel: a crochet rug. Brito wants a perfect large round “crochet-type” rug.
Hopefully he’ll find what he’s looking for before his show opens on April 17th at PinkGhost in Hollywood!
