A couple of years ago, I noticed that people were starting to make crochet mandalas. (Most noticeably, Wink of A Creative Being was doing a lot of great ones). I tried to round up mandala crochet patterns and there were only a few that I could find anywhere. Now they are everywhere and people are making mandalas like crazy. I am still inspired by them, so I thought I’d do a roundup today of inspirational crochet mandala photos.
Scissors! I thought I’d celebrate that sometimes-overlooked part of our craft tool box with a roundup of some cool items that celebrate these simple tools.

Today’s crochet prompt asks us crochet a project in monochrome. Since I hate changing colors in projects, a lot of what I’ve crocheted has been monochrome (unless I was working with variegated yarns, which I do love). So I’m showing off some of those past projects here today and I thought I’d also mention that I have a Pinterest board dedicated to beautiful monochrome crochet.
