I’m doing something a little different for this week’s edition of the celebration of Instagrammers who crochet. You can see all of the various contributions by visiting #crochetconcupiscence, #crochetsavedmylife, #hooktoheal and #mandalasformarinke on Instagram. But today, we’re going to honor the work of one fabulous featured crochet Instagrammer who shared an interview with us about the Weather Scarf she spent last year making, sharing it in stages with us using the community hashtags.
A little while back, one of this blog’s readers, Flo, was in the midst of working on the Sophie’s Universe crochet project and shared some of her mid-project thoughts with us in a post that I did over on About.com Crochet. She’s since completed the popular crochet project and is back with an update and some tips.
I received the following email and wanted to reach out to my community to give a more complete answer than I could possibly give alone. Your comments and suggestions are welcome and appreciated!
Happy Thanksgiving! Every year on this day I do a post about why I’m thankful for crochet. It’s important to me to do this because crochet saved my life and it continues keeping me sane, stable, and happy as well as connected to an amazing online and offline crafting community.
Today’s crochet prompt asks us to “learn or review the basics of color theory”. This reminded me of a blog post I did over two years ago that I thought might be worth re-visiting. It looks at 11 different colors and the typical impact that they have on mood.
I was invited to join in as a crochet blogger in the annual month of guest blog posts called Holiday Bake Craft Sew. You can join too!
One of the most recent trends has been a resurgence of popularity for the crochet V-Stitch.
