Tomorrow is the last day of the month, which means that I’ll be sharing the links to all of the Mandalas for Marinke posts that went up in March. You can see all of the posts that have gone live so far on the Mandalas for Marinke page. So I thought it was a good time to give you an update on where things stand with this ongoing depression awareness project.
As many of you know, I’m requesting support through Patreon to keep this blog alive and active. Yesterday I shared some new milestones and today I wanted to let you know that I’ve also added new rewards. You can get lots of new things from CC when you support through Patreon
Two of my favorite weekly posts – the Link Love posts and the Instagram roundups – will be changing dramatically unless you can come through with support through Patreon. Here is the info on what will change and what you can do if you love these posts.
I wanted to let all of you know that I have joined Patreon, which is a place where artists and makers can share their visions and get supported by the people who believe in what they do. It is not the same as Kickstarter or Indiegogo; you’re not funding a particular project but instead committing a monthly amount to help support the general work of a creator that you love. I’ve signed up for it because the support from a community can really help me to take my work a lot further than it can go on its own. I work really hard to use my writing to support others (highlighting designers and crafters, interviewing creative people, sending messages of support to those in need) and if the greater community supports my efforts then I can pay it forward stronger in kind.
Advertising on Crochet Concupiscence is a fabulous way to get your brand in front of many different people who love crochet while also supporting an indie blogger who loves to share as much as possible in the community of crochet.
Hi all! I intended to start posting the Mandalas for Marinke every day again by now but things have just been so busy with the new pup that I told you about earlier this week! So I wanted to give you an update on her, on the project, and some thoughts on how this actually all does relate to depression awareness, which is a large part of what the Mandalas for Marinke project is all about.
I’m happy to be part of the Poise campaign to raise awareness about light bladder leakage (LBL) in a fun way – by finding a creative way to upcycle unused period pads with a DIY project. For my project, I’ve taken unused pads, stitched them together and added crochet to create a water-absorbent, protective, cute new iPhone cozy.
