As many of you know I did a Kindle promotion recently offering Crochet Saved My Life for free. It was free for four days and I was touched, honored and stunned that there were more than 4400 downloads of the book in this time. I feel like if even one of those people was touched by the stories shared with me for that book as I was when I heard them then it was completely worth it to make the book affordable in this way.
New Low Price
This whole experience sparked a decision for me. I have decided that I am going to change the price on the Kindle version of Crochet Saved My Life. I am dropping it from the original price of $9.99 to a new low price of just $2.99. The Kindle version is now $2.99 on Amazon.
Why I’m Doing This
As a self-published author I will be upfront in saying that I am not making a fortune right now in my life. As such, I can’t donate to a bunch of causes or give monetarily to help people out. But I realized that what I can do is give up a little bit in a way that allows what I do have to offer, which is my writing, to a broader audience of people who may benefit from it in small way. That’s why I’ve decided to drop the price on the Kindle version of the book. It is my small part to help give something back to the community of people who take an interest in the book but aren’t able to afford the print version or the original Kindle price.
How You Can Help
The best thing that you can do is spread the word. Let people know to check out the book at its new low price.
If you are someone who has a little money to share right now and wants to support my efforts, you can help by contributing to the funding campaign for Hook to Heal, the creativity exercises book that is what I’m working on next as an outgrowth of Crochet Saved My Life. Learn more about that here.
I hope you enjoy the new price change!
