I recently read an article by Wendy Dwyer in an online publication called Luminaries that tells the tale of a crafting club on the campuses of the Indian River State College. Crochet was one of the crafts that members of the group worked on together to create items for the needy. What stood out to me wasn’t just this cool action, αν και, but also a great quote by the article’s author:
“Whether it goes back to the old adage about idle hands being the devil’s work, or simply is a passion for the creative, crafting is on the rise, and it’s definitely not just for your grandma or maiden aunties anymore.”
So true, especially considering the recent rise of bro-chet!
