Do you remember the small crochet basketweave scarf I made when I was crocheting my way through Sharon Silverman’s book Crochet Scarves? I decided that I wanted to do something more with it and ended up turning it into a huge oversized cowl.

I always call this chunky cowl my pastel cowl because it’s made with a Fingerpaints yarn that felt pastel to me. But as I played with the Kuler color story tool today I realized that the cowl is actually more earthy and muted than true pastels.
