Before the year comes to an end I’m taking a look back at all of the things that we saw in crochet here in 2014. Today I’m sharing the 52 Week Crochet Blogging Challenge posts that I did this year. Note that this is a year-long project but it doesn’t run on a calendar year so it continues into 2015. It’s hosted by Red Berry Crochet.
US. vs UK. Crochet Terminology
The prompt for today was “crochet in public and tell us about your experience.”
I decided to try the Magic Circle. I’d done it once before and didn’t really like it but so many people think it’s genius that I wanted to give it another chance.
The best tip I ever learned that I personally use all of the time is that you can crochet over yarn ends as you go instead of leaving them hanging and having ends to weave in when the project is complete.
I recently joined the 52 Week Crochet Blogging Challenge hosted by Julie of Red Berry Crochet. This week’s question is “what kind of crocheter are you?” Mine’s a multi-faceted answer. I am a patternless, repetitive, healthy crochet artist. Patternless Crocheter I rarely work from crochet patterns. When I make items for myself (which are usually crochet shrugs or crochet dresses) I just work it to my shape as I go. That said, I do sometimes use crochet patterns, especially if I’m reviewing a crochet book and occasionally I’ll get in moods where I use crochet patterns to learn new techniques.
