Throughout this week I’ve been having such a fun time enjoying a cross-blog conversation with Sara of Mom With a Hook. You’ve had the opportunity to eavesdrop on our conversation about crochet, community and other kinds of things. If you’re just chiming in for the first time, then you can find out more about cross blogging in the first post. Below you’ll find all of the links to the previous posts in the conversation and then my final response to Sara. If you’ve been following along then I’d love to know what your thoughts were on this chat.
Follow Along With The Posts So Far:

My Turn
Hi Sara,
You are so right … we could probably extend this conversation indefinitely. We’re both chatty Cathys when it comes to crochet, aren’t we? It’s a topic that offers so many different aspects to it that there’s always something more to talk about. I think one of my favorite things about this craft is that there’s always more to learn and know even though it’s a simple craft to get started with. There are many layers to the world of crochet!
I love the way that you phrased one of your wrap-up thoughts, when you said “I really think I was given crochet as a means to heal and express myself.” I definitely also feel like crochet was a gift that came into my life exactly when I needed it and has continued to be a form of self-expression and a tool for healing in so many ways.
It definitely sounds like you’ve got some great goals for 2012. I think your plan to learn knitting socks in order to get a better grasp on good crochet sock construction is brilliant. I definitely look forward to seeing that on your blog as it happens along with updates on all of the many cool things that you’ve got going on.
Thanks so much for introducing me to the cross-blog conversation. It’s been a delight to chat with you and I certainly look forward to updating my readers on your goings-on in the months to come!
Hooky love,
Kathryn
