Every week I share crochet patterns from around the web, many of which are free crochet patterns that amazing designers are making available to the world. This roundup collects the free patterns I’ve shared here over the past few months for another stunning massive roundup of great crochet patterns you can get online. You’ll find patterns for just about everything here from clothing and accessories to dolls and even a dartboard.
Most of you probably know that I’m the About.com Crochet Expert. I’ve had the position for about a year now and in that time I’ve done a little over thirty crochet book reviews on that site. I wanted to round them up here for you today so that you can see what crochet books out there might be missing from your own craft library.
Mandalas for Marinke has received so many great crochet mandala contributions, and the deadline has been extended so even more people can participate. I suggested that people use Wink’s mandala patterns, because it’s a great way to allow her work to continue inspiring others even though she is now gone. However, the project does accept crochet mandalas of any design, and a lot of people have asked me where to get good designs, so I thought I’d round up some other crochet mandala patterns in addition to Wink’s.
I am endlessly surprised by the stunning beauty and creative innovation that courses through my Instagram stream each week, including those photos that people tag with #crochetsavedmylife or #crochetconcupiscence. You’ll find many of those photos here in this week’s roundup but be sure to check the tags to see them all!
Maya of The Little Treasures sent me this beautiful crochet mandala that she made. But more than that, she also shares the free crochet mandala pattern with all of us on her blog. It is called Joy of Life.
As I mentioned previously, I’m happy to be one of the judges for this 3rd quarter of The Crochet Awards, formerly known as The Flamies. The judges’ nominations are all in now for the categories, which are all about crochet for the home. Take a look at what we chose, then it’s your turn to submit fan nominations and come September everyone can vote.
The crochet bobble stitch is a great stitch that brings a lot of texture to your work. It is similar to the crochet popcorn and cluster stitches but seems to be the more common of the three in recently released crochet patterns. If you’re seeking to add interesting elements to your work, check out these thirteen crochet bobble stitch patterns.
