Today’s crochet quote is an excerpt from an article about Stitch Stud Charles Voth. The article is by Cheryl Clocke of The Standard. Voth is the interim editor of Inside Crochet (which just did an article that included Crochet Concupiscence!) and he’s also a knit and crochet pattern designer and tech editor.

Then one day, he watched a friend of his mom’s crochet a ’70s style wide brim hat. He remembers touching the ball of yarn. It was soft. Cornflower blue.

He liked the threedimentional- ness to the hat. “I remember thinking, I could make a house.

She taught him how to chain.

I just love this little story, especially the part where he thinks to himself, “I could make a house”. I think I’ve had similar nutty things in the midst of crochet excitement!
