I’ve been exploring vintage crochet books from the local library lately and because of that have come across the Crocheter’s Historical Pattern Series, a four-volume series of books by Melissa Johnson

Some of the most classic crochet looks come from the 1970′s. There were some truly tacky things made in this time but there were also lots of really great handmade pieces that I’d absolutely wear or use today.

During my vacation last month I stumbled across a lovely old crochet book that would make a great addition to any vintage crochet library.
