Back in June I showed you the step-by-step photos of how I made T-shirt yarn using the Shirts.com tutorial for How to Make T-Shirt Yarn. But I never showed you what I ended up making with that T-shirt yarn: a covered crochet Chihuahua bed.

I didn’t follow any pattern for this crochet puppy bed. I used an N hook and the DIY T-shirt yarn to crochet a circle as wide as the pup using hdc. Then I continued with hdc, building up the “walls” for a few rows; in this case there were 80 crochet stitches per round at the widest part. I kept building the walls but only to chain 60, elaving those 20 other stitches open to create the opening for Miso to get into the bed; I did that by working back and forth instead of in the round. When the opening was tall enough, I resumed working in round, chaining over the open spot to start building the top. Then I began decreasing each row to close up the circle. It required a few tries and a little tweaking but pup seemed to like it in the end.

That is such a neat little doggy bed. Love the series of photos as it looks like Miso is

checking out the new "accommodations".

It's nice - I bet that adorable little puppy loves it. :)
