Crocheter Profile: Flo

2ndhandtowel

I recently mentioned Flo, who was the person who told me about Joe, the veteran in need of yarn donations. Flo has been sharing some of her crochet experiences with me recently via email and she said that I could share them here on the blog. Here’s what she had to say …

“I’ve been busy learning & creating really cool things and I’m still making hats and scarves to give away (to the homeless / charities). Recently, I learned to make 2-layer-thick potholders. I single crocheted two pieces separately then single crocheted them together.” Here are some of them:

“While doing these, the idea came to make a 2 sided bat mat. This is the start of it and then the other side will be all yellow:”

“I also recently learned to make slippers by watching a video. Pretty cool, huh?! I watched, paused, crocheted, took notes. The yarn is really soft (80/20 acrylic/wool) and they are warm. I’m already using them!”
