There’s a new online digital magazine for crocheters called Happily Hooked. Issue One came out this week.
About This Crochet Magazine
Happily Hooked is a digital crochet magazine run by husband and wife team Alison and Matt Lutz (@CrochetAppzine).
Alison’s crochet story touched my heart since, of course, I believe crochet heals. She shares:
“My Nana and Mom both crocheted when I was young and showed me the beginning stitches and I was hooked (pun intended)! I’ve always stuck to a few of the basic stitches until after the birth of our son Declan. I began to crochet a lot more after his birth to soothe my post-partum anxiety and depression. When our son was 9 weeks old he had to be hospitalized for a UTI.. that same day was my oldest brother’s funeral. It was a rough period in my life and I really found solace in the rhythmic motions of the hook against the yarn. My hope with this magazine is to reach all types of “hookers” out there! It’s such a supportive and loving community that I love being a part of and I hope our magazine will be a great forum for creativity!”
