I spent the weekend at a friend’s house watching her chihuahua. We snuggled up under blankets on a rainy day and I crocheted her a sweater.
With such a small pup it’s easy to work something up really quickly.
I crocheted two granny squares, one a round larger than the other.
I put those back to back and joined them, leaving room for the puppy’s head and front legs to fit through.
I added a few rounds of half double crochet to create the legs and neck of the sweater.
I added a row of shells along the back of the top, extending the larger square even further down the back and making it a frillier, girlier sweater.
And that’s all it took.
I used Red Heart yarn and an H hook.
