Yarn Bombing Los Angeles, the group that brought us the collaborative granny square art project at CAFAM, has a new project in the works that I’m planning to join in on and wanted to invite you to to do the same. The new project is called Put a Ring On It.

The project asks you to think about what you love. It’s inspired by the childhood saying, “if you love it so much why don’t you marry it?!” along with the related Beyonce song that it’s named after. They’re looking for the most creative thing that you are in love with – foods, people, places and more …

Once you’ve picked what you love, crochet (or knit) a ring for it. Place the ring on the thing that you love. Take a creative photograph. Send the photograph in to be part of this collaborative, creative yarn art project.

Send the photo in by the deadline of May 1, 2014. The photos will be on display in an exhibit in June 2014 at the Manhattan Beach Creative Art Center. I can’t wait to do my part for this and I can’t wait to see what other people share!
