The video below shows how a man created a new sport, basically combining hackey sack with volleyball. The balls that are used in the sport are crocheted so he explains how he learned to crochet from the women of Curitaba, Brazil, where he was inventing the sport. He then went on to launch an Association of Crochet to provide work to the women who wanted to crochet the sport’s balls for the athletes. This is another example of fair trade crochet in South America.
