Vacation, Rag Rug, Yarn and Other Crochet News

A reminder that I’m on vacation for a few days. A note about the materials I’m crocheting with these days. A few other small announcements.

Just a reminder that I’m on vacation for a couple of days and without Internet access because I’m camping. This just means that I am not around to answer emails or moderate comments but expect to hear back from me when I return at the end of the week. It also means that a few of my regular posts won’t be showing up this week including the daily job links and the weekly crochet call for submissions. Most features will still be posting. As for my 365 posts, I’ll take the photos every day and do a combined post when I return.

Working with Recycled Materials

About two years ago I realized that I could crochet using recycled materials like silk scarves and T-shirts. I cut up a bunch of that stuff but then didn’t really use it. (With one exception, I turned a red knit sweater into a cute crochet purse.) But recently I took out that old stuff and have been playing with it again. So expect to see a rag rug on this blog in the near future.

Galler Yarn Blog Tour

I’ll do a full announcement as it gets closer but I thought I’d let you know now that I’m going to be a stop on the Galler Yarn Blog Tour later this month. For now you can learn more about this yarn company from their Galler Yarns website and blog.

2nd Quarter Advertising

It’s almost April which starts the second quarter of the year. That means that it’s time to start thinking about advertising here if you want to reach my audience. Learn more about advertising on Crochet Concupiscence. I’m happy to answer any questions you may have.
