Here are this week’s calls for submission for all of you crochet pattern designers, writers and fiber artists.
Crochet Pattern Calls for Submissions
September / October 2012 Piecework Magazine
“The third annual literary issue will bring new literary masterpieces with needlework references and projects directly inspired by their pages. You’ll discover that more authors than might be imagined have filled their pages with needlework—from the passing mention to step-by-step instructions, from War and Peace to seventeenth-century novels.”
“Sockupied, one of Interweave’s eMags, is seeking articles and designs for our 2012 issue, which we expect to release this fall. Sockupied focuses on technique-rich, clever patterns that enable knitters to take charge of their socks and customize patterns for optimal fit and structure. Past features have included converting heels, toes, and stitch patterns; repairing socks; great bind-offs and cast-ons for socks; and other topics.” – via Ravelry. Note: this is a knitting magazine but many knitting mags are now accepting a little bit of crochet or crochet/knit blend designs so it may be worth checking into if you’re a sock crocheter.
