crochet jobs Do You Want To Continue Seeing Crochet Jobs? Feedback Wanted!

Hi all,

I’ve got a super busy week on my end here. I’m trying to get the final touches on the draft of my book about the health benefits of crochet. And I’m also petsitting so I’m not working from my usual computer and that always throws me off a little and slows down the regular daily computer tasks. Because of that, I’m not going to be posting crochet jobs for the rest of this week.

And so I think it’s a good time to check in with you and ask if that weekday feature is something you even want to continue seeing? I try really hard to seek out on-site and work-at-home opportunities for crocheters and people interested in working with yarn. I’m not sure if these leads are working for you or not so I’d love to hear back from you … is this a feature you want me to keep up with or is it something you don’t really care about? Is there anything you’d like to see me doing differently with those jobs and volunteer opportunities that would make you more excited about those posts?

All feedback welcome! Leave it in the comments.

I'm studying how crochet helps people. Please help by taking this survey. Learn more from the press release.

I like checking out the job postings. I'm disabled, so getting hired for a "normal" job is difficult. crocheting is something that I'm good at, and could make money from, or at least just support my yarn habit. ;-) Thanks! @crochetchica

Kathryn, I have really liked these posts. I've really appreciated seeing places where one can look for work, places we wouldn't expect. Also, you helped me find some pattern testing opportunities, so I'm getting started in that realm. Thank you!

I will note that someone looking for a person to buy yarn in Dalton, GA probably wants that yarn to be put in carpet, as a LOT of carpet is made in Dalton! Still yarn, probably not as fun as we'd hope though!

I love seeing other people's patterns and finished projects. I also find it very helpful when crocheters film or show step-by-step patterns or difficult or unusual stitches or working with unusual yarn. It's great to see the great talent an imagination out there, which always inspires me to try out new things and challenge myself. If you think that what you know will help others, then include it in your blog.

Yes I want to continue seeing the job leads. I appreciate seeing them and I did try contacting one of them but they never wrote back. I am hoping for more jobs that could work for me. I really would love to have crocheting be a job for me.
