in Hooked Together

If you’re not familiar with Hooked Together you can learn more about how it works here and see the latest update about its progress here.

If you’re following along on the blog list, you’ll see I’ve skipped over a few. Cecile’s Crochet hasn’t posted since August so I’m going to skip that for now. ChiCrochet and Coco Rose Diaries don’t have a blogroll. CoffeeDog Crochet hasn’t posted since 2010. So we’ll skip forward to Crackers in Bed which has a short blog list and because of that we’ll also do one more today. We’ll skip Craft (awesome blog) because it has no blogroll. Same with Crafters in the Sky. And that takes us to CraftGossip.

CRACKERS IN BED

Crackers in Bed is also known as Chain Male Design (a name I adore) and was the blog for crochet pattern designer Peter Of Hooker Bear Creations. At the end of 2011, Hooker Bear went out of business and the blog has been kind of quiet ever since. Peter posts once in awhile and seems to be going through some personal stuff but doesn’t share a lot of the details. We’ll see where this blog goes in the future. In the meantime, let’s take a look at what’s on that blogroll.

Tier One Blogs

These blogs are on the blogroll but they’re also already in the big list of blogs I already read. Awesome.

  • Crocheting with Dee (@CrochetWithDee)
  • Designing Vashti (@vashtirama)

Blogs That Have Already Been Hooked Together

These blogs are on the blogroll but they’ve already been linked to because they were on the blogroll in a previous Hooked Together post. Also awesome.

New-to-Me Crochet Blogs

Multicraftual Blogs with Crochet Posts

  • Crafty Andy. Knit and crochet blog from a male crocheter here in San Francisco. How did I not know this one before? @Crafty_Andy on Twitter but the Tweets are protected.

Non-Crochet Blogs

Out-of-Date Blogs

For the purposes of Hooked Together, a blog is considered out of date if it hasn’t had a post in the past couple of months.

  • Men Who Crochet Chapter of CGOA.

What did I find? Despite the small blogroll I found two new blogs to follow. Awesome.

CRAFT GOSSIP

I adore Craft Gossip. I gave JD my Awesome Crochet Blogger Award for Best Crochet News because this site is almost always up to date with the cool stuff that’s going on with crochet. I also frequently check out the other sites in this network including their Recycled Crafts blog. They’re @craftgossip on Twitter and Facebook. Now let’s see what’s on the blogroll:

Tier One Blogs

  • That Crochet Guy. As a side note, this one links to the blogger above at Crackers in Bed although Crackers in Bed didn’t link to him.
  • Martha Winger. But thanks to following the link I found out that the link on my original list is out of date. Martha Winger is now here.
  • Stitch Story (@stitchstory)
  • Stitchy McYarnPants (@McYarnpants)

Blogs That Have Already Been Hooked Together

  • Cay’s Crafts. Yep, that’s right, this blog that I’d never seen before today was hooked together by both of the day’s blogs!
  • CGOA. This one has been Hooked Together by  AG Mode, Anastacia Knits, and BellaCrochet.
  • Creative Jewish Mom. A site I love. Hooked Together by Anastacia Knits  @creativejmom

New-to-Me Crochet Blogs

Crochet Websites (Not Blogs)

Multicraftual Blogs with Crochet Posts

Non-Crochet Blogs

  • Six Degrees. Cool charity and crowdsourced funding website. @SixDegreesofKB

Out-of-Date Blogs

  • CrochetPartners.org.
  • Crochetroo.
  • Kathy at 49.
  • Crochet and More (http://mama24boyz.blogspot.com/)
  • Mint’s Crochet.
  • The Verandah.
  • Baldwin’s Girl
  • Yumminess Ensues
  • Zanygrey’s Freeform Crochet and Knit

What did I find? We follow a few of the same crochet blogs. CraftGossip links to a few that have already been Hooked Together. And there are some links here to interesting crochet websites that aren’t specifically blogs.
