Crochet Pattern Calls for Submission
WWMDfK? Volume 2, Defarge Does Chaucer, or Defarge Does Shakespeare
Design knit or crochet patterns based on a literary character who inspires you. Current calls are for Chaucer and Shakespeare characters.
Note: Designers are paid out of book royalties with no flat fees or advances. This can still possibly be a paying gig and one that promotes your work in a new space but just be aware of this.
Deadlines: 6/1/12 for Shakespeare, 10/1/12 for Chaucer
KnitCircus
Knitcircus publishes an online magazine 5 times per year and is launching ebooks and print books starting this year. Both knit and crochet patterns are accepted.
Tangled
“Tangled is seeking designs which are unique, delicious, inspired, funky, holy-cow-I-have-to-make-that-right-now! Designs may be written for knitting, crocheting, or a combination of the two.”
Crochet Writing Calls for Submission
Poet / Artist Collaborative Exhibit
This one seems kind of cool and works for both writers and crochet artists. It’s a project where artists create work inspired by poets. So you can opt to submit a poem to be chosen by an artist or you can choose to create an artwork based on one of the chosen poems.
Deadline: 2/10/12
