It’s another week of just small announcements here in my Crochet Corner. That’s because I’m in the process of doing tons of decluttering, organizing, stashbusting, project planning, etc. News should ramp up in the next few weeks.
Seeking Guest Posts
I am seeking some guest posts for this blog specific to the topic of getting paid to crochet. If you’ve ever sold a crochet design on Ravelry or to a magazine, made money from your crochet blog, gotten paid to teach crochet, etc. then I’d love to have a post from you. I can’t pay for posts but you can have up to three links to your site in the post, a short bio at the end of the post and I’ll even toss in a free sidebar ad on the site for two weeks. Contact me with your post ideas.
Has Crochet Helped with Your Health?
I’ve mentioned in the past that I’m working on a book about the mental and physical health benefits of crochet. I took a break from it because of the holidays and am about to begin resuming the final push on the draft. I could still use some more stories so if you feel that crochet has improved your health in any way and want to do an email interview then please contact me!
A few people have asked for more details on the book … I’ve decided to self-publish it for a myriad of reasons including learning that the Amazon self-publishing process is super easy (which I learned from self-publishing my booklet of elderly crocheter stories). This means that I’ll be hiring and editor and perhaps a professional to do a review and write a foreword plus I’ll need to format the book. I’m planning to have it published no later than the end of the year but am shooting for mid-2012.
Follow 365 Ways to Crochet
My photo project showing different ways to wear crochet each day is going really well. I want to improve my photography skills and I really need to get a tripod to make that happen better but for the most part I’m really pleased with the way the project is going. You can obviously follow along with the posts every day here on the blog. That’s actually the only way that you can see the full post with all of the photos. However, I always wanted to mention that I’ve created a Pinterest board for this project that you can follow if you’re a Pinterest fan.
Did you know that every day on Twitter I ask a crochet question of the day? I use the hashtag #crochetquestionoftheday to make it easy for you if you want to find it and answer it.
Other than that, I just want to say a general thanks to all of my readers, especially those who comment regularly and encourage me in my work on this site. I adore you!
