Job Leads for Paid Crochet Jobs
- 2012 Summer Seasonal Instructional Position. City of Yankton Rec Dept is seeking instructors for various positions. They list “fabric art or sewing and knitting” as an option so they may be open to crochet instruction. Could be a fun way to spend the summer. Info here.
- Craftsy Course Teachers. Have you thought about taking your crochet teaching skills to the next level by offering a class on Craftsy? Here’s the info to get started.
- Design Director Positions. “FashionCareerFairs.com has multiple positions in various locations for apparel, textile, footwear and fashion accessory professionals for companies who are hiring now.” I just sent an email to find out if they have any matches for people with crochet fashion experience but I thought I’d go ahead and give you the lead now in case you want to pursue it on your own. - On-site Sweater Designer. Requires experience in both crochet and knitting. More info.
Pattern Testers (typically the deal is you get a free pattern for your efforts)
- Crochet Pattern Tester. Gift bag/ scrubber pattern to be tested in next day or two.
- Gift Pocket Bear Pattern Tester. Marie from Underground Crafter needs 5-10 pattern testers for a really cute design.
- Cottage Garden Beanie Pattern Tester. Testers needed for intermediate design in various sizes due 1/18/12.
Volunteer Job Leads
- Crochet Easter Eggs for Ferrets. Wind and Willow Ferret Rescue needs Easter Eggs with crochet coverings for their ferrets and to sell as cat toys to raise funds.
- Hospice Care of the West. Crochet lap blankets, slippers or scarves for CA hospice patients.
- St. Croix Hospice. Make a blanket or prayer shawl for a dying patient.
