Personal Crochet / Knitting Instructor Wanted
Jennifer is a 32-year-old female based in Michigan who has advertised on Care.com that she’s looking for personal instruction / assistance with knitting and crochet. She says that she needs some help with more difficult patterns and would like to get that help from a more experienced person. For example, she currently has a sweater pattern that she needs a bit of help with in terms of interpreting the pattern (not sure if this one is knit or crochet). This would be an occasional ongoing job, hourly rate negotiable. She doesn’t specify if she’s looking for someone local or if she would be open to some type of online video chat instruction but it could be worth checking out if you think this job is right for you. Job Leads for Paid Crochet Jobs
- Sample Knitters / Crocheters. Cooperative Press is putting together a new book that will be primarily knitting with some crochet. They are willing to connect sample knitters / crocheters with designers who may need help for this project.
- Remote Experienced Crocheter for Freelance Work. NC company seeks work-at-home crochet for freelance contract work at $8 – $10 per item.
- Interweave Editorial – Books Director. This is an in-office position in Colorado for people with knowledge of craft book editing and product.
- Interweave Book Designer. This is an in-office position in Colorado for someone able to conceptualize and design book covers for crochet and other crafty Interweave publications.
- UK Job: Sewing, Knitting and Crochet Instructors. Job in the UK to help elderly people learn craft skills.
Job Leads for Volunteer Positions
- Crochet Pattern Tester. Lazy Daisy Crochet recently posted a need for pattern testers for a cute puppy blanket. Application process is a little unusual but may be fun to check out. The pattern looks cute.
- Knitted Knockers Needed. Crocheted / knitted prosthetic breasts are needed for mastectomy patients at The Chandler Regional Cancer Center.
